Help Save Mellow: Emergency Surgery for a Brave little girl

Hi everyone,

My name is Serenity, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and an urgent plea to help one of my best friends (Deven). Her beloved dog, Mellow, is in critical need of emergency surgery at Texas A&M due to a sudden and severe case of Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD). Mellow isn’t just a pet to Deven. She's a llight in her life, and a true miracle rescue who’s already overcome so much. Now, she's facing the biggest battle of her life.

Mellow came into Deven's life as a rescue; a dog discarded, forgotten, and in need of love. From the moment Deven met her, she knew she was special. Despite everything she'd been through, she had a calm spirit and a gentle soul that radiated warmth. That’s how she got his name Mellow. She quickly became not just a companion, but family.

Last Night, Mellow suddenly lost the ability to walk. It started with weakness in her neck and rapidly progressed into complete paralysis. After rushing her to the vet, we were given a devastating diagnosis: IVDD — a painful and debilitating spinal condition that can cause irreversible damage if not treated immediately. The only chance Mellow has at walking again, or even living without constant pain, is through emergency spinal surgery.

She were referred to Texas A&M, where a team of specialists is preparing to operate. The cost of the surgery, MRI, hospitalization, and post-op care is estimated at $8,000–$10,000. As you can imagine, this is an overwhelming amount, especially on such short notice. But we refuse to give up on her. Mellow deserves this chance.

She gave Deven her trust and love. She wasn't blessed to begin in a good family but now that she is I know Deven & family will do anything for her dog.
