Mello is a 3 yr old deaf cat with so much energy and love to give. Early February Mello began having some difficulties while in the restroom. After an Emergency Vet visit we were told he was inflamed and sent home with anxiety meds where he began to get better. On March 2nd Mello could not use the litter box and began to get stiff. He was rushed to the Emergency vet where it was found he had a blockage. $2000 later and he was on IV fluids and a catheter for two days before coming home. After two days home Mello began to show signs of reblockage and was brought back to the Emergency vet. They were able to locate the beginning of a reblockage and the cause: stones. He needs another weekend stay with a catheter to remove the blockage and then immediate emergency surgery to remove the stones. We have enough left in savings for the 3 day weekend stay before the surgery, another $2000. However the major surgery after will cost anywhere between 2000-4000. After all the money we have spent from savings plus what we will now spend for another 3 night stay we have no money left to cover the surgery that will prevent this from happening again. We are doing everything we can to get the money in time: Any help to help Mello get his surgery so he can have more time to be the happy boy he is is appreciated more than anyone knows. This is my baby. I don't know what I will do. Anything is appreciated.
