My name is Melissa, and I’m reaching out on behalf of myself, my spouse, and our kids. Over the past several months, I’ve been struggling with multiple illnesses that have made it impossible for me to work. As a result, we’ve fallen behind on our bills and are now facing the very real risk of losing our home. It’s been an incredibly difficult time for our family, and I’m doing everything I can to keep us together, safe, and warm.

Over the last year or so, I've been diagnosed with Capillary Leak Syndrome, Scleromyxedema, Lupus, Antiphospholipid Syndrome, Lupus Anticoagulant Disorder, and COPD. I receive IVIG infusions 3x a month from a nurse that comes to my home. I'm having a port placed soon.

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward our most urgent needs: keeping up with our mortgage, making car payments, covering medical co-pays, and taking care of basic household and heating costs. Every bit of support will help us stay afloat while I continue to seek medical answers and work toward recovery. I’ve applied for SSDI and reached out to local programs for help, but we are still waiting for assistance to come through.
