Help Melissa & Rob with medical expenses

Donation protected
Our friends who are never sick, find themselves in a devastating situation of over $175,000 in hospital bills. These are two people who go out of their way to help anyone who needs it, and demonstrate that strangers are only friends they haven't met!
Melissa's husband lost medical coverage when his employer closed. Since then, he has employment, but no catastrophic health care coverage. They were able to get ChIP to insure their children, but the "ACA" was not affordable for them. This year was especially difficult. Melissa is self-employed as a hair stylist and fitness instructor. Of course, her income stopped in March. Her husband's income plummeted with the shutdown, as his position was "non-essential." As summer ended, and businesses began to open, they were catching up with the losses over the previous months. In the fall, Rob was back at work, when he suddenly collapsed. He was rushed to the hospital, where it was determined he had had a stroke. They now had a huge ICU bill to pay, but Rob recovered, and went back to work. On the day before Thanksgiving, Rob ran an errand on his motorcycle. A person more focused on turning did not see him, and turned into him. This trip to the hospital required major surgery to his left wrist, and a brace on his leg. He will be out of commission for 12 weeks. He is relegated to the sofa, as he can put no weight on his leg, or use crutches. Then, a week later, Melissa became very ill, and ended up in the hospital with Covid. She was on oxygen for 6 days, and it was discovered she suffered from anemia as well. She needed multiple transfusions, CT scans, and bone marrow tests, in addition to the Covid protocol. Melissa continues a very slow recovery, but returned to work with reduced hours, as hers is the only income.
As they recover, and maintain their household and living expenses, the medical bills loom large and heavy over them.  The $175,000 does not include the surgery when Rob was hit and hospitalized.  It is only for the care Rob received in ICU, and Melissa received due to Covid.
We are hoping to make a dent it this debt by asking anyone who would like to help, please consider donating to help defray the medical costs. Thank you for your generosity! Please share with your friends! Merry Christmas, and God bless you!
