I have never been in a situation like this before, and asking for help is not easy. On October 27, 2025, my life changed in an instant when I was involved in a catastrophic car accident. I suffered 10 broken ribs, a fractured sternum in two places, a badly broken leg, and bruised kidneys. My son was with me and, while thankfully unharmed physically, was deeply traumatized by the experience. The accident was caused by another driver making an illegal u-turn across three lanes of traffic. He was found at fault, but his insurance coverage was minimal, and my attorney was unable to recover more than a small settlement. I used what I received to support my family over the past four months, but it is now gone.

Since the accident, I have had five surgeries and spent five weeks in the hospital. I lost my only vehicle and am unable to work or drive. I rely on Ubers to get my children to and from school, and every day is a struggle to keep food on the table. I do not have health insurance, so all of the medical bills are my responsibility. I am doing everything I can to stay strong for my family, but I am financially drained and overwhelmed by the road ahead.
