Hi, my name is Jade, and as most of you know, Melissa is my mom! Last sunday I got a call that I would never forget. My mom had suddenly been rushed to the hospital and nobody knew what had happened to her. When I arrived to be with her she was in such a horrible state. The next day we had an MRI done which showed she had a massive stroke that completely damaged her entire right side of the brain and that she was bleeding from her brain as well. She was life-flighted to the ICU of a hospital in Houston, Texas. Over the past week she has had multiple surgeries and procedures including a Craniectomy and has remained unresponsive and unconscious. My brothers and I have continued to be by her side so that when she wakes up we are here. Our journey is far from over, once she wakes up she will need to go to rehab and then will most likely need to have a care nurse for the remainder of her life. I am with her in Houston as my brothers are both working as well as we are expecting a newborn on July 8th. This newborn is going to be my moms first granddaughter. We ask for your help as this was very sudden and my mom did not have any insurance, we are trying our best to keep up and take things day by day but we would appreciate any amount of contribution that you are willing to give. I know my mom has touched so many hearts in her lifetime and we are hoping that the favor is going to be returned as she desperately needs it. Thank you for taking the time, God Bless You!
