HELP MELISSA OVERCOME CANCER!!!

Hi, I am Juli and I am Melissa's big sister. With permission from my Melissa, I want to share her story and ask for help.

My sister means the world to me, as well as to so many others. She's a giver, loves hard and will go above and beyond to make you feel special.

Now I ask that we help her.

Mel is very private about the journey she's been on. She has struggled in silence and wears a smile through it all.

It all started back in 2020. After several visits to an OB, and PCP Melissa was not getting answers about why she was feeling the way she was. What the doctors said was long term side effects from Covid including pneumonia, major hair loss and clotting ..... and after several misdiagnosis and visits to her OB,PCP and the visits to ER, and getting second opinions..NOVEMBER 16, 2021 the possibility of being diagnosed with CANCER quickly became a reality.

The oncologist told her she has Uterine cancer and that she could easily be treated with Chemo pills and they would see her in six months. Her conditions worsened. With the prescription medication, she had several onset of different side-effects that she continues to battle with. Several more visits later, they told her she needed to get 6-8 weeks of radiation. After her petscan the radiologist said radiology was NOT an option. She would have to have surgery, something she did not want. Mel has experienced many sleepless nights felt worried, scared of the risks, thr change and the unknown. We have PRAYED FOR COMPLETE HEALING, AND PRAYED SOME MORE! Despite everything she is going through, she has FAITH that God will bring her through and she realizes this is a part of her journey.

Mel is always taking care of everyone else. And the ones she loves the most, her son Caleb and her husband Manny. The one thing I don't want her to worry about is taking care of them and trying to get back to work as to not worry about expenses. Melissa will be out of work for at least eight weeks.

Melissa's surgery is just around the corner. We can't change the situation but we can collectively we can lighten the financial burden.
