Aloha, my name is Litty & I'm creating this page for my mother-in-law, Melissa King-Hubert. On January 6th, 2025, Melissa was rushed to the ER due to nonstop dry coughing. Later that evening, the doctors found a mass behind her heart, and she was admitted to the hospital. She was discharged from the hospital on January 8th, but a few hours later, she went back to the ER, then was shortly discharged again.

Thursday, January 9th, Melissa flew to Oahu to get exploratory surgery. The next day, she found out her mass is cancerous. Melissa has 2 different types of tumors in her lungs, and because of that complexity of her cancer she is heading to the mainland for treatment at OHSU.
