Our incredible friend Melissa has been bravely fighting cancer for the past two years. After a period of remission, her cancer has sadly returned and spread to other organs. In the coming weeks, Mel will begin an intensive round of chemotherapy to try to kill all of the cancer cells and hopefully go back into remission.

As many of you know, one of the most emotionally difficult side effects of chemo is hair loss.  We all know Mel’s hair is her thing. There is a way to reduce this—it’s called cold capping, and it’s been shown to help 60%–90% of patients keep their hair during treatment. Unfortunately, cold capping isn’t covered by her insurance.
