I am writing to you today with a personal update and a request for your support. The past four years have presented unexpected and significant health challenges for my mom Melissa. Recently diagnosed with a previously unknown congenital kidney condition, she has undergone extensive medical treatment, including surgeries and hospital stays. This journey has been both emotionally and financially taxing.

To ensure her long-term health, she will require a nephrectomy (kidney removal). While this is a necessary step towards recovery, it will unfortunately result in a considerable period of lost income, as she is the primary provider for my sister and I. The medical expenses associated with the surgery, recovery, and ongoing medication are substantial.

I have organized this fundraiser to assist with these costs.
