Help Melissa Heal From BII

For years we have watched our dear friend, Melissa Reddic, struggle with an undiagnosed illness that left her in constant pain. It ranged from crippling headaches that kept her bed ridden,  chronic fatigue, horrible muscle & joint pain, cognitive dysfunction - All the while providing for her family, working long hours and being a wonderful friend to all of us. 

Surgeries and remedies proved to be useless and provided no answers. Countless doctor visits, second opinions of specialists, major and minor surgeries to help; all piled up to become a financial burden. But nothing was working to eliminate the pain she felt and dealt with 24 hours a day. Until one day when that all changed....

A friend mentioned to Melissa that her symptoms sounded a lot like something she had heard of before. She added Melissa to a group of other women who had experienced this disease first hand. As Melissa scrolled through the stories of hundreds of other women dealing with EXACTLY what she has experienced, she finally knew she wasn’t alone. The mysterious monster she had been fighting for years had a name.... Breast Implant Illness. 

January 7th, Melissa will undergo surgery to have her implants removed and while her quality of life will drastically improve - She isn’t out of the woods quite yet unfortunately. The surgery is very expensive and without insurance, medical bills will pile up. Her recovery time will leave her away from work for weeks on end.

BII has taken a lot from Melissa - Most important being, time. Time spent in the hospital, time at doctors visits, time away from a job/career she puts so much into and truly loves, time away from friends, and most valuable of all... Time away from her family struggling to overcome this terrible disease. 

While we can’t give her back time, we can give her less things to worry about as she recovers.We can give her the peace of mind to not worry about the financial burden following a major surgery and the ability to focus her energy towards her recovery and look forward to a life not plagued with pain and suffering. 

We are asking for your help for an amazing woman, mother, friend, family member and wonderful human being. Any donation, big or small, helps immensely and would give back to someone who does SO much for all of us and asks for so little in return. Let’s show her how much she means to all of us by supporting her during this time. 

In closing, we ask that you PLEASE keep this a secret from Melissa. We would like to surprise her with this amazing gift before her surgery with each and every persons name who donated so she can see how much everyone loves her.
