Help Melissa Get Necessary Back Surgery

Hi, Melissa here. I have been dealing with severe lower back/leg issues for over six months due to a herniated disc between my L5/S1. Over the last eight weeks, the pain and numbness have worsened, causing debilitation decreasing my overall quality of life. My latest MRI showed that the herniation is causing severe impingement of my sacral nerves. A discectomy is needed as soon as possible, not just to get me back to my usual healthy, active self, but because the impingement could cause permanent nerve damage if not corrected. Our health insurance has a very high deductible ($3700), so this surgery will cost me $1900 out-of-pocket. I've already spent a little over $1200 for office copays, an MRI, and two spinal injections.

As an actor and fimmaker, I can't take on new projects until I am well again, which means I am missing out on opportunities to earn money for my family.
