I’m reaching out to share my health journey and ask for your support. It all began after a concert in Sacramento when a sudden stop in the car left me with severe back pain. After countless visits to the ER, I was diagnosed with degenerative disk disease and a herniated disk. The pain has been relentless, forcing me to transition from my role as a veterinary assistant to the front office, where I answer phones and work on computers.

Despite my efforts, I’ve faced debilitating muscle spasms that have often sent me home early or back to the emergency room. The guilt of calling out frequently weighs heavily on me, and I’ve had to obtain notes from my doctor just to return to work, contributing further to our financial struggles.

Recently, I underwent emergency surgery with the incredible Dr. Jamie R. Messegee, who provided me with compassionate care and reassurance throughout the process. While the surgery has offered some relief, I still face challenges in my recovery. My husband and my mom have been my rock during this time, and I have friends and family checking in on me daily.

As I continue to heal, I urgently need a specialized bed to support my recovery. The cost is around $4,000, and my financial situation makes it difficult to afford this essential item.
