Hello! Thank you for considering donating money to help me go back to school to pursue a license as a professional counselor. I've worked in a therapeutic field of Vocal Empowerment for the past 20 years. I left an academic job in order to bring this work to a larger population of people. I've been working with a wide array of people; military vets experiencing trauma, people on the autistic spectrum, people who have experienced domestic abuse, who have a deep fear of speaking their truth in groups or in relationships. We find ourselves in a mental health crisis and I am well poised to step up and help people as they navigate their way back to centered balance. I will have completed my somatic practitioner's license in the next three years. I have twenty years experience coaching people how to feel grounded, free their breath, remain centered, and regulate their nervous system while speaking.
I've been accepted into an exciting program that will support the evolution of my work very well. They do not have large scholarships to offer me and the tuition is more than I can afford. I will need a total of $72,000 in tuition, fees, and books over the next three years. As I work for myself, I will need to save every dollar I can to cover my own living expenses. And, the field I am going into is altruistic - the rewards are not in monetary gain. It is important to me that I do not accrue a large debt to pay upon graduation.
I've been offered an Honors scholarship due to my excellent academic record (4.0 in my other graduate program, 15 years as a professor) and my obvious financial need. As a voice coach, my business was greatly impacted by the CoVid pandemic. My income was decreased by 70-80% over the last year.
I will need financial help if I am going to be able to go back to school for this license.
Any amount you can give will go directly to education fees.
$25-50 can cover education fees
$100-200 can purchase a book
$1000 - 2000 can pay for a class
Larger donations could help pay for an entire semester
I am to begin school as early as August 2021.

The university has had to cut the amount of assistance they can offer due to lower financial donations in the time of CoVId. This GoFundMe is an effort to see if I can realize this dream of making vocal empowerment and grounded presence a cultural norm.
I want to bring my work into schools, the corporate world, work with individuals who are ready for transformation into knowing and speaking the truth of who they are. When we can begin to work together, listen well, collaborate with one another, we can change the world.
