She beat Cancer once, with your help, she can do it again.
There are some people who just seem to shine, even in their darkest moments.
For me, that person is my mom, Melissa.
A few years ago, she fought one of the hardest battles anyone can face.. breast cancer. She endured surgery, treatments, and heartbreak. The fight took so much from her including both of her breasts. But, she never let it take her spirit. She faced every step with strength, humor, and grace. And when she finally won, we thought she’d never have to go through something like that again.
But recently, our world stopped once more.
Melissa has been diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer.
Watching her face cancer a second time is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone. She’s tired, she’s hurting, but she refuses to give up. Even now, she still manages to laugh, to smile for everyone else, and to stay strong when it matters most. That’s just who my mom is a fighter, through and through.
This time, though, the financial strain has become overwhelming. Between the cost of her medications, treatments, and all the things insurance doesn’t cover, it’s been hard to keep up. She also hopes to get a wig, something that helps her feel more like herself again, a small comfort that means so much when so much has been taken away.
All I want is for my mom to focus on healing not on bills, not on the stress of what we can’t afford.
If you can help in any way through a donation, a share, or simply a kind message please know it truly makes a difference. Every dollar goes directly toward her care, her comfort, and her fight to overcome this terrible disease once more.
My mom is my heart. She’s my best friend. She’s my hero. And I want to give her every chance to keep fighting and to win, again.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for reading, for caring, and for helping Melissa stay strong.
