Help Melissa Ermis and Family Stay Strong

A member of our Kelly Lake Family is in need. Melissa Ermis is currently in the hospital working to get on the heart transplant list. They will be staying at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. This will be a long haul for her young family. They have a small place near the hospital for her husband Dan and two boys to be close by. Dan continues to work and family stays in shifts with the boys.

As you can imagine, this will put a huge financial burden on them. Any gift, no matter how small, will help offset the costs of care, travel, and food throughout this journey. Thank you in advance.

Here's Melissa's story,

After years of living with a bad heart from birth, on July 1st, the doctors determined it was time to go ahead and start the Heart Transplant evaluation process.

This process revealed a problem with her lungs from "Pulmonary Hypertension" which results in low pressure being delivered to the lungs.

This condition made her ineligible to get on the transplant list and ultimately led to a surgery to place a LVAD device which was successfully performed on July 12th.

Recovery time from this surgery could be 2 to 4 months at which times the doctors can apply for another evaluation for transplant.
