Help Melissa compete at the World Championship.

 

Hi, I'm Melissa. A 44-year-old mother of 2 and a paediatric nurse. I started powerlifting 3 years ago and found my passion. It added so much to my life that I'm strong, healthy and confident. During lockdown last year, I switched sports for a competition called static monsters - it's a strongman event that had me lifting some very different things. I ended up doing well in the competition - I came 6th in the world out of 21 countries and 2nd in Australia, which led to an invitation to compete in the world championships in Ohio Obetz, United States of America.  I'd love to go!! It would be amazing to see how much I can push myself and step way out of my comfort zone. I love showing other women that having a passion and being driven can help you achieve your dreams. Strong is healthy and sexy. :-)

Currently flights are around $3000, I need a new lifting suit $350, Competition entry $250, some other small bits of equipment and funds for accommodation. Thanks for any support you can give me as i head on this journey.
