On behalf of our family, I am heartbroken to share the sudden and unexpected passing of our brother, Jeff Simpkins on October 24, 2025.

Jeff was a devoted husband to Melissa and a loving father to Jarrett. Jeff was also an amazing brother, uncle, and friend; someone who could make you laugh in any situation and who always showed up when you needed him. His kindness, humor, and big heart touched everyone he met, and his absence leaves a hole that can never truly be filled. Jeff’s passing has left an incredible void in our hearts and in the lives of everyone who knew and loved him.

Jeff had a deep love for the outdoors, especially spending time at the beach and going fishing. He was also a lifelong UNC Tar Heels fan, cheering passionately for his team through every season. But more than anything, Jeff was happiest when he was with Melissa and Jarrett. They were the center of his world, and his love and devotion to them were unwavering.

As Melissa and Jarrett face the difficult road ahead, they are met with not only immense grief but also the financial challenges that come with such an unexpected loss.
