Help Melissa and Her Daughters Through Crisis

Hi, I'm Laura, and I am starting this gofundme to help my daughter and 2 granddaughters! Here is her story...
My name is Melissa...a single mama of two beautiful young ladies who are my whole world! We need some help with medical bills and monthly bills after a major medical emergency that has left me unable to work while I go through physical therapy and healing.
On June 28th, I made my first trip to the emergency room with sudden severe back pain! They considered admitting me for pain management, but I didn't have insurance, so I chose some medicine and went home 7 hours later. The next day, the pain was even worse, so I returned, and they admitted me. I had an MRI and very strong pain meds. They called in a neurosurgeon who explained my L3/L4 disk had completely collapsed, crushing the entire nerve that ran through the space. They gave me a spinal block shot, and I was sent home again on July 3rd. The pain and my ability to function worsened; I was unable to walk without a walker, unable to get to the restroom by myself, and standing in tears. I returned once again to the hospital on July 9th. The neurosurgeon once again came in to speak to me on the 10th and informed me I would be in surgery at 8 am the next day, July 11th! Unfortunately, my girls were at their fair that whole week, trying hard to continue on with 4H and stay strong while I was in the hospital going into surgery. I had a disk fusion and bone graft to replace and regrow a new disk. I was released on July 14th.
With this happening, I had just started a new job 28 days prior. I was not there long enough to have insurance or to be able to go on FMLA. Therefore, with the surgeon predicting a minimum of 12 weeks being unable to work, I had to be let go. In the past 6 weeks, I have depleted my savings to cover our monthly expenses and take care of my girls. The most recent visit with the surgeon is predicting another 6-8 weeks, attending physical therapy 3-5 days a week to regain lost strength and mobility in my legs, before he considers lifting any restrictions allowing me to work. I cannot qualify for food stamps. I have filed for short-term disability, but that can take up to 5 months if they even approve it, and I was not approved for unemployment because I cannot work due to restrictions. I have been working very hard at my hobby of crocheting and selling what I make to bring in as much as I can, but it's just not enough! Please be kind and help us! It's just my little girls and me trying to keep our heads up above water to get through this!
