Help Melissa and Her Daughters Rebuild After Fire
On 9/3/24 at 5:15am, my neighbor, Melissa and her 2 daughters lost their home in a fire. Melissa was awake and getting ready for work when she came out of the bathroom to her bedroom ablaze. After sending her youngest daughter out the front door, she and her oldest daughter attempted to grab their fire extinguisher, but the fire had overcome half of their home. Thankfully, the three of them and their pup, Shadow, were able to get out unharmed. Unfortunately, they have lost everything but the clothes on their backs, no shoes. Her youngest starts middle school on 9/4/24 and has now lost her new shoes, new backpack, new school clothes, and all of her school supplies.
Melissa is a single mom. Unfortunately, they did not have insurance to cover the replacement of their belongings or provide them with housing right now. The family does not have a vehicle either and has relied on the school bus to get her youngest to school. With the uncertainty of where they will be laying their heads each night, they will need to find a way to get to work and school.
Please donate or share to help this momma and her girls rebuild their lives.
