Hi, everyone. My name is Gary, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my niece, Melissa, and her daughter, Haleigh.

Melissa is my brother Russ’ daughter — and as many of you know, Russ passed away.

So when I say she’s family I deeply care about, I mean that with my whole heart.

Last week, Melissa and Haleigh’s RV — their home — burned down unexpectedly. In just minutes, they lost everything they owned.

Melissa and Haleigh are grateful for the roof they do currently have over their heads after this disaster, but it’s not a long-term solution, and they are struggling. And with this happening so close to Christmas, the timing has made everything even harder. Instead of getting ready for the holidays, they are trying to replace basic necessities and figure out where they will go next. Haleigh, especially, is facing a Christmas without the comfort or stability that every child deserves.

I’m creating this GoFundMe because they need help starting over.

They need a safe place to stay, basic essentials, clothing, food, and support while they try to rebuild their lives from scratch. This fundraiser is simply about helping two good people who had their world taken from them without warning.

Melissa is a strong woman and a devoted mother. She works hard, loves her daughter deeply, and has already faced more loss than most people ever do. Right now, the situation is too big for her to handle alone — and I’m stepping in as family to try and get them the help they desperately need.
