My name is Melissa. I have a genetic kidney disease called polycystic kidney disease. I am currently in kidney failure and need a transplant. My kidney function has dropped suddenly and we are now having the surgery ASAP. Thankfully, my husband is a match, praise the Lord! We have four children still in school to support during this time. As the main breadwinner, I will be out of work for at least 6-8 weeks, coupled with awaiting Medicare to kick in. We are asking you to give whatever you can to help until I can return to work and my husband is able to pick up the slack after his surgery. He is a disabled vet.
