Help MeLisa and Odin get back on their feet

On February 2, 2022, MeLisa and Odin's apartment caught fire and they lost the majority of their belongings due to fire, smoke and water damage. They made it out safely, however the loss is devastating.

 

The fire was sparked from a nail in the tongue and groove paneling that had been hammered, unknowingly, into the original wiring in the guest room. A new space heater was plugged into the corresponding outlet and due to the wattage, a fire was sparked in the wall. When MeLisa heard the space heater pop, she turned it off, but five minutes later Odin alerted her to check on the room and that's when they saw the first signs of the fire. She immediately called 911 and they escaped the house.

 

MeLisa and Odin have been able to find temporary housing and they are beyond thankful to all friends and community thus far, including the fire department and first responders.

 

Their belongings were not covered under insurance, so they are now dealing with the loss of everything they owned and are asking for your help to build a new future. Anything you can help give is greatly appreciated!
