As many of you probably know, my best friend Aubrey Waller’s mom, Melinda Parish, collapsed at work and was down for a period of time unresponsive before paramedics arrived. After arriving at the hospital, it was determined that her heart was only working at 30%. During her time at GSH, she was on a vent for a couple of days and has been successfully extubated and is VERY slowly coming around, but she is still very out of it and confused a lot of the time and she is nowhere near being back to herself. She has been transferred to a hospital in Evansville where she will be receiving a defibrillator but at this time it is uncertain when she’ll receive that and how long she will remain in the hospital in Evansville as they are still running tests on her heart and brain to see if she’s stable enough to get the defibrillator yet. It will be a long journey for Melinda and will require a ton of physical therapy and speech therapy.
Unfortunately, even though she is unable to work and make an income, her bills will not stop coming.
Aubrey and her husband, Kurtis will be handling Melinda’s finances while she is unable to while also being the person who is mostly at her mom’s bedside giving her the encouragement she needs to get better. Melinda is a wonderful person with a huge heart and her and Aubrey have always gone above and beyond to help those around them.
Melinda has a loving family and four beautiful grandchildren who need their mom/grandma to get better and as back to normal as possible.
I am asking for the community's help with taking the financial burden away from this family so they are not consumed with thoughts of how they’re going to pay for her bills and can focus on getting her better.
If you can donate anything at all, it would mean the absolute world to Melinda and Aubrey and I know they will forever be grateful for your generosity. If you cannot donate, please pray!! Pray for a quick and FULL recovery. Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you in advance for any help you’re willing to give!!
