Hello my name is Melinda I'm the take care of everyone neighborhood mom and grandma, I'm very active in my community and I love and respect anyone from all walks of life. I never ask for help but I think in some situations there is nothing wrong with asking when you know you need to. I work hard for everything I have and in this moment I find myself in a situation where I cannot work. Saturday after work my kids and I were going to meet my neighbor and his kids at alligator lake and have some pizza and let the kids go fish. The weather was not ideal but the kids were excited and wanted to enjoy themselves. We walked down the trail near the boat ramp and everyone decided to walk back up the trail and have pizza at the car. I went down an incline and slipped landing on my left leg I broke the tibia bone and dislocated my ankle. It took fighters and paramedics an hour to get me out of the woods. Because I could not walk and path was too narrow, but the amazing fire and rescue and EMS were able to get me to safety and the hospital. I had to undergo relocating and resetting my ankle and surgery to reattach my ligaments and tendons and have screws put into my bone. I had recently switched jobs and did not have insurance and was between paychecks. But now I'm going to be out of work for at least 6 weeks while I heal and won't have any income. I'm asking if anyone would be willing to help me with small expenses like gas for Appointments or even the light bill or some food money because not working for 6 weeks is going to pile up fast and I don't want to even mention this has ruined Christmas for my children. Mom can't walk and cook their favorite Christmas meal or afford presents for them this year. I'm not asking for the world but any help would be nice.
