Help Melinda get to Mayo Clinic

My sister, Melinda Needham Hawk, is best described as a giver (she would much rather give than to receive), hard worker and currently in need of a medical diagnosis!
In the last year, Melinda’s health has deteriorated immensely. Multiple ER visits, five long hospital stays, two ambulance rides and still no real diagnosis! What I do know is that she is suffering from GI issues and even a team of doctors could not provide any real answers for her declining health. In a year , Melinda has lost 60 pounds, is severely malnourished, has experienced complete kidney failure multiple times due to dehydration, tested for absolutely every disease/cancer imaginable and currently goes twice weekly for IV infusions (to prevent kidney failure). At this point the only results are mounting medical bills!
Finally, after all the tests and hospital stays, she has a referral to the the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Her appointment is in September. Unfortunately the good news of a referral creates a whole new stress! Funding the trip is going to be a burden for Melinda and her family. Missed work days (both Mendy and Melinda), medical expenses and every day life expenses that don’t cease during a time like this is just too much, then throw in a trip to Minnesota! For those that know Melinda, she is in complete stress overload!
I want to help my sister and her family. Countless times in my life she has helped me and it’s my turn to do what I can to help her. Melinda’s biggest weakness is asking for help, so this is where I step in and take over.
If you find it in your heart to help out financially, my family will be eternally grateful. And I know Melinda and Mendy will be too. If you can’t help financially, prayers are needed. Prayers for medical answers and funding!
