Hi my name is Melina. About six weeks ago I was feeling sluggish, dizzy, nauseous, feverish and had a cough that wouldn't stop. At first I thought it was Covid-19 because I have had it before and some of the symptoms were similar, but the test results were negative. I still went to work pushing through, but always leaving early feeling sick. Bills started to stack up. Finally I scraped together enough money for Health Insurance. I went to Urgent Care on July 1st. The doctor came into the lobby, took one look at me and said, "I think you have pneumonia." Next thing I know I'm in an ambulance on my way to St. Luke's Hospital. I ended up in the ICU for six days. I was diagnosed with COPD followed by Pneumonia and an enlarged heart with a lump. When I was discharged on July 7th, I came home to an eviction letter because I was in the hospital with no computer and no phone. First thing I thought of was my dog. I could live elsewhere but she cant be in the heat with a rash that took off her skin on her back. I took a loan out for $300 because that was all I was aloud to borrow from my bank. I have four doctors who want to see me within the next four weeks. I cant go back to work until I see them. Unfortunately, the end of the month is coming up and I have co-pays of $15. I'm terrified. I want to get better and go back to work. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. Even 25 cents. <3 Thank you for reading.<3
