In May, Melia was admitted to the hospital with a serious case of diverticulitis. This illness caused excruciating pain, multiple abscesses and infection in her colon. This infection became septic several times over a four week period. She was in the hospital for 22 days. While she was in the hospital the doctors tried to get her infection under control and finally decided to do an emergency surgery. This was there last option. The surgery required the doctors to remove a foot of her colon. She has to use a colostomy bag as a result of this procedure. There is another surgery that is scheduled to repair the colon. This will require another 12 weeks of healing.
During this time, Melia has exhausted her vacation time and sick leave from work. Without her working, our financial situation as greatly changed. Her insurance is taking care of most of the medical responsibilities. Melia’s monthly income has taken a backseat to her recovery.
Your donations will help take care of some of the financial pressures Melia and I are facing together. Please pray for my wife and her full recovery.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and God Bless.
