my father passed away rather suddenly last sunday. while he had been diagnosed with terminal liver cancer 5 weeks ago we hadn't spoken in over 3 years. he was mentally ill and his delusions created divides that i didn't have the strength to push beyond.

less than two weeks ago his caregiver reached out to tell me that he was dying and didn't have much time left. less than a week later i was on oahu saying my final goodbyes. two days later he passed away. 

leaving just over $100 in his checking account to pay for his funerary costs and to pay his caregiver for the past month of service she's given him, including moving him into her home for his final weeks. this puts me in a bind as i am just getting back to full-time work after being unemployed and working part-time for most of last year due to covid19. i have to pay his funerary costs with a credit card tomorrow in order to move forward with the process as quickly as i can. the idea of going into debt as i'm just beginning to see the light after a year that nearly ruined me financially is beyond overwhelming.

i'm usually the type to grin and bear it and find a way to manage on my own. but today i am asking my greater community for help.
