Our beautiful Mom, Mele (Karmal Ginger Banasihan) has recently been diagnosed with Colon Cancer . For several months, she visited multiple doctors who misdiagnosed her pain as hemorrhoid's & Sciatica. But Mele knew something wasn't right as the pain began to worsen each day. After being out of work since July 2025 and 2 more visits with her doctor, Mom Mele finally got scheduled for a colonoscopy on August 29th, 2025, and was told results will be ready in a couple hours by phone. While waiting so anxiously, later that day we got the call a biopsy confirmed our worst fear and our whole world changed: It was cancer.

To know Mom Mele is to know PURE LOVE, she's a proud mother of two daughters and a son and a joyful grandmother to six grandchildren who adores her. She's the kind of person who lights up the room with her humor and warmth yet remains humble and grounded. She's the heart of our Ohana.

Mama mele is now undergoing chemotherapy and radiation for 6 weeks. We're staying strong and standing by her side as she fights this.
