Hello, my name is Meldean. I have always been self-sufficient and worked diligently to care for my family. Recently, I received the challenging news that I have pancreatic cancer. This journey has led me to Cedars Sinai Pancreatic Research Facility for promising clinical trials and treatment that offers my best chance of recovery. Since my diagnosis, I’ve had to stop production of my small handmade business which I loved and which also supplemented my retirement, I now pay for the care of my 17 yr. dog “Bailey”, which I couldn’t physically care for any longer, and it just breaks my heart.

Your donations will help cover temporary housing in Los Angeles, the cost of necessary treatment through Cedars Sinai Hospital, prescriptions, equipment and other health aids that aren’t covered by insurance, my travel expenses and prescriptions not covered by insurance, so I can solely focus on my recovery.
