Help Melanie's Travel to Her Father

The wonderful lady that I was caring for was on a fixed income and funds were limited to pay me a wage, so we helped each other out best we could. I'm friends with her daughter and she has a busy lifestyle, so we both needed each other at the same time. Almost a year ago to the date, life can catch you off guard sometimes and we fall short of making our way through grief and what families are not prepared to inherit when financial burdens of losing a loved one can put on affording the basics.

So, I'm asking for donations for travel expenses. The reason for my travel to Indiana is that's where my pop lives and he has had a couple of scares with his health. I want to go and spend as much quality time as I can with him, making new memories and spend time with family and friends that I haven't seen in a long time. It's been a rough couple of years for me here in Nevada, so I'm on a journey to heal the broken pieces of my mind and heart.

I have a loyal companion and I can't wait to let him run and experience some of the things that he didn't get to before I rescued him. I made him a promise that he would have wide open spaces to run and play. I will take pictures and keep a journal, maybe do a video journal so you can join me along my travels these next few months. So, your donations would go to gas, food, and car insurance. I joined GasBuddy and I've already mapped out my stops and it has estimated what it would cost me in gas and the gas stations that I would stop to fill up at comes out to about just under $500 one way. The stops along the way are at campsites, state beaches, and events.

My living arrangement is time sensitive. The family is grieving the loss of their beloved mother and have an entire home to pack and a lifetime of memories and keepsakes to mourn and say their goodbyes so Im trying to get on the road ASAP before the end of June 2024.
