Hi my name is Melanie. I'm a 26 year old trans girl who has been on HRT for 2 years now. I like anime, rpg games, and reading/writing, mainly romance and fantasy stories. I am a big fan of fear and hunger and my favorite anime is Jujutsu Kaisen. I am mixed between Native and American American. I work as a line cook and have a passion for cooking and writing.

I'm starting this gofundme because I have over 6k in consumer debt and want to get rid of it but also start a savings account to prepare to leave if things in America get worse for trans people. To give you a brief overview of my story: In 2021 and 2022 I left home for the first time and lived with my boyfriend. He lost his job and I took out credit cards and loans to keep us afloat. Overtime he got more physically and emotionally abusive which led to a Baker Act incident. Eventually I couldn't take it anymore and had to make the hard decision of moving back home with my parents.

I still owe a lot of the debt I took out during those 2 years and it has practically destroyed my credit. I have tried several options to get rid of the debt: I tried to do a debt consolidation loan but haven't been able to get any approval, I tried to get a second job but have been unsuccessful.

I want to secure a passport as well and if I can't leave but America gets worse have a safety net fund to access DIY HRT in case of any bans.
