My name is Melanie Garcia and I am currently in my third trimester of pregnancy. I lost my job at the beginning of my second trimester and haven’t been able to find another job even when I have applied to all kinds of positions in different sectors.
My husband and I live in Washington state and are expecting a baby girl in a couple of weeks. Right now money is tight but we’ve been able to manage. Unfortunately when we become a family of 3, we will need a second income even more.
I have a Bachelor’s in Public Communication and my career has been mostly in nonprofits, but I am looking into switching careers. One that allows me to stay home with my baby, work remotely, contribute to our home, and continue helping people. That’s why I am looking into getting a certification as a medical interpreter.
I am bilingual in English and Spanish, and I believe that this career will be the best for me and my family. For this reason, I am asking for help to pay for the required 40 hour training and the exam to get the national certification as a medical interpreter. The total cost would be $1,200 dollars.
Please help me and my growing family make our plans a reality.
