Hi there, my name is Deb and I am fundraising for a lovely local lady called Mel to buy her a new wheelchair . You may have met Mel taking her hearing dog Nando for a walk in the park. Mel has brittle bones and relies on her chair to get to work and be as independent as possible. I recently purchased an attachment to motorise Mels wheelchair but the actual chair is 18 years old and falling apart. Mel has been applying to access to work and wheelchair services for 3 years now and has so far got nowhere despite many letters and phone calls. Can you help? A new chair costs £3000 and I am willing to bridge any shortfall personally .
