Hi everyone! It’s me Mel and I am having top surgery next month on April 15th! While my insurance will cover some of it, the cost is still much more than I have been able to save.

I lowered my goal to $4,800 (my ballpark for the cost of surgery plus recovery supplies) because I found out I will be able to apply for Paid Family and Medical Leave in Washington state, which will pay 90% of my wages during the weeks I’m not working. If you are getting gender affirming surgery and have worked at least 820 hours in the last year (does not have to have been consecutive or consistent work), know that you can apply for PFML <3

Top surgery will help me immensely in feeling comfortable, happy, confident, and at home in my body. 

The donations you give will go towards the cost of surgery and also towards the cost of recovery supplies such as gauze and scar treatments.
