I’m writing this on behalf of my mum, Mel, a hardworking single mother doing her absolute best to raise my two young siblings, Callum (14) and Arabella (10). On the 9th of November 2025, their home was tragically destroyed in a sudden house fire. In just minutes, everything they owned was gone. Their clothes, the kids’ school things, family memories, their transport, and the roof over their heads.

They escaped with only the clothes they were wearing.

Mel has always been the kind of person who pushes through every challenge without asking for help. She has worked tirelessly to support Callum and Arabella, but with the rising cost of living and rent, insurance simply was not something she could afford. Now, without a home or basic essentials, she does not have the safety net that many of us take for granted.

Right now, they need help to find somewhere safe to stay. They need to replace clothing, personal items and school supplies, and they need some stability as they begin to rebuild their lives from nothing.
