Support Mekinzie In Her Medical Journey

Hi, this is Josh and Brandi, parents of Mekinzie. We are starting this fundraiser in hopes of raising enough money to get Mekinzies eggs frozen. For those that know Mekinzie, you're probably aware of her surgeries over the past 3 years to remove tumors growing on her ovaries.

For those that haven't had the pleasure to meet Mekinzie yet, in 2020 she was diagnosed with reoccurring mature germ cell tumors and had to have her first tumor removed. The tumor had grown so large it engulfed her right ovarie which had to be removed with the tumor. Soon after her surgery in Oct 2020, another tumor was found on her left ovarie. Her oncologist and surgical oncologist monitored the growth of the tumor until it too needed to be removed in April of this year. Luckily, this time they were able to remove the tumor without removing her last ovarie. The surgery was successful, unfortunately on her first follow up appointment, another tumor was found on the left ovarie. Like previous tumors, the doctors are monitoring the growth but eventually will need to remove that tumor as well. The repeated surgeries and only having the left ovarie has posed an extremely high risk to her future fertility. So after much contemplating and prayer, we have chosen to start the fertility preservation process for Mekinzie.

Fertility preservation is costly and insurance doesn't cover the procedure, medications or the other procedures in the preservation process.

So we are at the mercy of our loved ones and anyone else that would like to help Mekinzie secure her chance to have a family of her own one day. We are asking for your generosity in helping pay for this grossly expensive procedure. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
