Hi everyone, my name is Mekhi Ashley. I am 20 years old and live in Ellenwood Ga. I was recently in an accident that resulted in my car being totaled. I was covered by liberty mutual Insurance but due to me being logged into doordash I have been denied my claim. It turns out there is this grey area between insurance and door dash where if you are logged in your insurance will not cover any accident while logged in. And doordash only covers if you’re on a delivery or on the way to a pickup. This wasn’t clearly disclosed by Doordash when I signed up and I wasn’t aware of these requirements. Turns out, a lot of people don’t know. My car was financed so I still owe around 14 thousand plus accruing interest for the rest of the car. I made this GoFundMe to help me pay off the car that the insurance company will not help me take care of. This financial loss is huge and could impact the rest of my life.
