I am Ems, Meinir’s partner, and I am sharing this appeal on her behalf.

Meinir has been diagnosed with Stage 4 breast and bone cancer and has been given a terminal prognosis in the UK.

She has recently had very positive and life-affirming consultations with a specialist cancer centre in Germany, which offers advanced treatment options that are not currently available through the NHS. These treatments are beyond what the NHS can fund, but they have given Meinir real hope.

She feels strongly that this treatment offers her a chance to respond positively to her illness and to live the rest of her life as fully as possible.

Meinir says: “I’d never ask for anything, but at this point I really need help and I am deeply grateful for any support.”

Unfortunately, the cost of treatment, travel, and associated care is far beyond what she and our families can afford. Time is also critical, as her condition is continuing to weaken.

We are asking for support to help raise the funds needed for Meinir to travel to Germany and begin treatment as soon as possible.
