Help Mehroon Overcome Her Health Crisis

It is with a heavy heart that I reach out to share some devastating news about my sister, Mehroon. Those who know her can attest to her kindness, empathy, and boundless generosity.

Currently, she is battling life-threatening medical issues and is in desperate need of your support and prayers.

On March 28, 2024, Mehroon slipped and fell while preparing for Suhoor, the pre-dawn meal before the Muslim fast. This fall resulted in a head injury and a fractured femur, causing her immense pain. Despite her ordeal, she managed to call for help, and was urgently hospitalized. She underwent emergency surgery to repair her fractured femur.

Tragically, during Mehroon's hospitalization, her husband’s health worsened, and he too had to be hospitalized. While Mehroon was battling her own health issues, her husband passed away on April 17, and due to her condition, she was unable to attend his funeral. Sadly, her health also deteriorated as her surgical wound became infected resulting in sepsis. Witnessing the subpar care she was receiving in the public hospital, the family decided to transfer her to a private clinic on April 19.

As of today, April 26, Mehroon remains in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit of the clinic. Despite numerous blood transfusions, she continues to suffer from internal bleeding and a severe decrease in blood platelets. Daily, she is undergoing medical tests and procedures. We fervently hope for her health to stabilize, so she can undergo a necessary second surgery to correct the complications from the initial procedure.

As we navigate through this challenging time, the mounting medical bills add to our burden. Mehroon is retired (and now a widow) and will not be able to settle her hospital bills alone. Any contribution you can offer would be deeply appreciated.
