This is Mehgan’s husband, Casey here!

Tragically, Mehgan fell at a train station on her way home from visiting a friend in Tacoma and broke her two front teeth. It happened late at night, Friday, December 12th. We got her into the OHSU emergency room early the following morning as there were no emergency dentists open that take Oregon Health Plan (our current insurance). They prescribed her with Oxy to carry her til Monday which is the earliest we could be seen by an emergency dentist.

After an entire weekend of excruciating pain and not being able to eat (I got her some meal replacement shakes and she had some tomato soup and bone broth), we took her to not one, but THREE recommended dentists that all could not help due to either volume or limited urgent care slots. Time was at the essence as she could not afford to miss any more work and we weren’t sure if she could get coverage. We opted for an emergency dentist that you have to pay out of pocket for so she could get help ASAP.

Fixing both of her teeth cost $7000 plus $1000 of interest after financing. Payments are $711 per month.

We simply cannot sustain that kind of medical bill right now and are humbly asking to any this reaches to donate what you can.

To top off all of this, Mehgan’s grandmother whom she was very close with passed away the very night Mehgan broke her teeth.

This Christmas season, all we ask for is your help. We don’t want any presents or anything like that. This would make our holiday season if we could just get a little help from everyone.
