Hi everyone, my name is Meghan McGrory. I’m currently in nursing school while working full-time at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
This past Thursday, a water and sewage main line break caused nearly two feet of water to flood into my apartment. In a matter of hours, much of what I worked so hard for was destroyed — including my clothing, shoes, many of my school materials, and all of my furniture. My apartment is now uninhabitable, and I am staying in temporary housing while searching for a new place to live.
As a full-time nursing student balancing work and school, this unexpected loss has been overwhelming — emotionally and financially.
This GoFundMe will help me replace essential belongings and cover temporary housing expenses as I figure out next steps. Any donation, no matter the amount, or even simply sharing this page, would mean more to me than I can express.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support during such a difficult time. With the support of friends, family, and this incredible community, anything can be overcome.
