Recently, Meghan was diagnosed with complete AV block, a serious heart condition that required the implantation of an Abbott leadless pacemaker to keep her heart beating properly. As a self-employed therapist and a devoted mother to her 10-month-old baby, Meghan has had to take significant time off from work—not only to recover from surgery, but also to attend numerous medical appointments needed to properly diagnose and treat her symptoms.

Adding to these challenges, Meghan and her husband, Kyle, are navigating this unexpected health crisis while caring for their young child. Meghan’s medical coverage is limited, leaving the family with substantial out-of-pocket expenses on top of the lost income during her time away from work.
