Help Meghan & Peter Rebuild Their Lives!
Donation protected
On December 30, 2021 Meghan Matschke & Peter Geise lost their family home and all possessions to the devastating Marshall Fire that ripped through the town of Louisville, Colorado.

In fact the entire region has been forever impacted by the many hundreds of homes and buildings destroyed—thousands of people have been displaced. Meghan & Peter left with a diaper bag for young Emery (3) and only the clothes on their backs. They (along with Emery, Grayson (15) and their dog, Oliver) are safe, gratefully, but they have lost everything—every single thing—including multiple vehicles and every other conceivable family belonging and heirloom. Their entire world vanished in minutes during this harrowing blaze.
Grayson just celebrated his 15th birthday on 12/14; Emery turned 3 on 12/28—so all of their recent birthday AND holiday gifts are gone. Although their rebuilding process will take years, help us kickstart this journey with anything you can give.
This fundraiser was started by Steve Metcalf, a co-worker of Meghan, based in Park City, UT. These funds will be used by Meghan and Peter to pay for temporary accommodation and miscellaneous costs not covered by insurance. The funds raised will be directed toward immediate accommodation and clothing needs, personal items, tools and equipment related to Peter’s work for his real estate practice and anything else they need to start rebuilding their lives. Thank you for your support of this amazing family!
