Hello, my name is Meghan. I recently lost my job of 6 and 1/2 years where I worked as a receptionist at a vet clinic. I am a single mom that lives with chronic illnesses such as fibromyalgia. I had used all my allotted sick time from being in and out of the hospital due to extreme pain and finally having multiple surgeries to remove ovarian cysts that keep coming back. The last time I got sick from having a kidney infection, I unfortunately did not have enough sick hours to cover the days I was out, and I was terminated.

I am here asking for some help. I haven't been able to find another job yet and unfortunately was not eligible for unemployment benefits. I am a couple of months behind on rent, behind on bills, and we are running out of groceries. I also have pets that need vet care. Losing this job was very hard because now I can't afford getting my pets the care they need as I received a large discount and vet bills are very expensive. I know it's a lot to come on here and ask strangers for help, but I am desperate at this point. I am also trying to do some pet sitting or dog walking, but I haven't had any luck yet.
