Help Meghan Gonsalves Beat Cancer

Hi, my name is Acadia Ryder and just last week one of my best friends Meghan Gonsalves was suddenly diagnosed with Lymphoma.
Just a few weeks ago Meghan and I were brainstorming ways to make her 32nd birthday this year memorable. A weekend away, girls night out in the city.. the options seemed endless. Never in a million years did either of us think she would be spending it alone in the ICU fighting cancer.
Meghan is fighting the good fight, and truly one of the toughest people I’ve ever met, but there’s a long road ahead for her. She’s someone who never asks for help but is constantly going out of her way to support and care for everyone else around her. With her lymphoma treatment journey just starting, that means more time away from being able to work and medical costs building up. Its time for us to step up and help the one who always helps us.
I’m organizing this fundraiser because Meghan is part of our amazing work family at Joe’s On Newbury and we want the community to be able to come together and support Meghan and her family. This will hopefully be able to take a small part of the burden off of them during this challenging time so they can focus on getting Meghan healthy.
If you know Meghan you know how she commands every room she walks into. How contagious her laugh is but if you’re around her you’ll probably be doing most of the laughing. If you’ve ever dined in at Joe’s there’s a chance you’ve seen the little spunky blonde with a wicked Boston accent bouncing around. We can help get that Meghan back on her feet by focusing on getting better and not how to pay the bills.
