Hello, my name is Tamy. I am fundraising for a good friend of mine who has unfortunately been met immense difficulties. Ms. Meghan Scarfo, a single mom raising her two neurodivergent boys, ages 9 and 15 needs help supporting her family. Meghan is a lifelong resident of Williamsport, having graduated from high school and then going on to complete her RN at Pennsylvania College of Technology. She most recently spent five years working as a Psychiatric Registered Nurse at UPMC North Central. Her boys are heavily involved in community activities and sports in the city. In May of 2019, Meghan was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroendocrine cancer of the small bowel, which has since metastasized to her liver. She is being treated for 7 tumors and will continue to undergo lifelong treatment and care related to symptoms. She has unfortunately had to give up her nursing career recently, which has put a strain on finances and stress levels of the household. Meghan and her boys deserve some care and love from the community – please, if you can, assist in raising funds to make this a bit easier for all of them. The funds will be used to help Meghan pay for monthly expenses.
