Hi everyone, I never imagined I would be in this position, but I’m asking for help during one of the hardest moments of my life. On February 10th, my private disability benefits were suddenly cut off — the very benefits I paid for to protect myself from exactly this type of crisis. Losing my only source of income has turned my life upside down. I’ve been doing everything I can to appeal the decision and stay strong, but the financial strain has taken a real toll on my health. Since losing my income, I’ve developed tachycardia and now require blood pressure medication. The stress of trying to cover my mortgage, utilities, gas to get to my doctors appointments, and food without any income has been overwhelming, and I’m scared of what will happen if I fall further behind.
