If you know Megan, then you know how deeply she cares for the people and animals in her life. She is one of the kindest, most thoughtful people I know; always showing up for others with compassion, patience, and love. This year alone, she took a huge leap and opened her own salon (while working a full-time job), pouring her heart into creating something special while continuing to put everyone else before herself.
A little over a week ago, her 4-year-old dog Duke suddenly became very sick out of nowhere. After multiple vet visits, medications, antibiotics, and countless worries, Duke still wasn’t improving. On Monday morning, he had to be rushed to an emergency veterinary hospital in Philadelphia for an emergency abdominal ultrasound and further testing. Since being admitted, Duke is still struggling and barely eating, but they have thankfully been able to rule out cancer and leptospirosis.
Anyone who has pets knows how quickly emergency veterinary bills can become overwhelming, especially when there are still so many unanswered questions. After everything Megan has already faced this past year with loss and grief, I would love for us to come together and remind her that she is not alone in this.
This fundraiser is meant to help ease even a small part of the financial burden of Duke’s ongoing care and show Megan just how many people care about her and Duke. Every donation, no matter the amount, truly helps and is so appreciated.
Please keep Duke, Megan, and their family in your thoughts as they continue searching for answers and helping Duke heal. Thank you!
